Course Overview

This three-year course combines a comprehensive study of language and history. In the first year, students explore language foundations, including phonetics and syntax, and delve into historical topics such as African history, trade dynamics, and 20th Century American culture. The second year offers flexibility with modules in English language teaching, psycholinguistics, and optional history studies. A unique feature is the option for a work placement or study abroad experience. In the final year, students can choose from diverse modules, including Child Language and Communication or Pacific Histories. The program culminates with a final year project in either History or English language, providing a well-rounded and interdisciplinary education.
