In this course, you will delve into various methods of conveying messages and meaning across a diverse array of media, including illustration, motion, and digital platforms. The emphasis is on cultivating new skills to enhance and articulate your design language. Throughout your studio-based studies, collaboration with fellow members of our creative community and across different courses will refine your workflow skills and interdisciplinary comprehension. These efforts aim to prepare you to emerge as a creative leader and innovator in the realm of visual communication, encompassing Graphic Design, Illustration, Animation, User Experience Design, Brand Design, Motion Design, Web & App Design, Virtual and Mixed Reality Design, Exhibition Design, and Advertising. The MA Visual Communication program is crafted to nurture your identity as an author and thought leader, providing you with the expertise to identify and address design challenges in intricate cross-media landscapes. This includes digital printmaking, as well as the production of still and moving images in both digital and virtual realms. Upon completion, you will enter the professional sphere equipped with a confident design voice, a specialized and informed design language, and an exceptional portfolio.

University Details

Syllabus

This programme consists of three terms (10 weeks each) and a term focused on your dissertation (12 weeks).

Teaching takes place Monday to Saturday, during morning, afternoon or evening sessions.

The modules of this programme are offered and delivered 100% on campus. Students will also have additional access to course and reading materials via the UNINETTUNO platform.

You will also attend modules on academic research methods and study the German language alongside your master’s degree. In your final term, you will research and prepare a dissertation on a topic of your choice.
